Q: What can I do to prolong the life of my baler?

A: Have your unit’s pressure checked regularly. Maintaining proper system pressure can help you get the most out of your compactor/baler and can help prolong the life of your investment.

Q: The motor starts but the ram won’t move. What can I do to troubleshoot this problem?

A: Check and see if the hydraulic reservoir is full of oil; make sure the pump shaft is turning; check and make sure the motor is rotating in the correct direction.

Q: My Compactor’s container was just hauled and now the compactor doesn’t work

A: Check to make sure the switch is in the correct position. If the machine continues to malfunction, call G.I.S.M.O. at 602-684-9609.

Q: My container is empty and now the compactor won’t start. What can I do?

A: Press the reset button on the motor starter; check the fuses; make sure the hydraulic hoses that connect the power unit to the packer body are hooked up; make sure you have voltage. There are several other possible reasons for your problem, too many to list.
